Daylight Savings Time is Saturday, November 6! Fall back...Turn your clocks 1 hour back!

What Fun Halloween Parades we had with all of our little characters yesterday and last Thursday.  We enjoyed seeing so many parents here both mornings. All of the children did a great job of celebrating and having fun! We might have a few Halloween hangovers today…comes with the territory. ((:

Have you seen our big fat turkey?   He is our ‘grateful’ bird!  Please fatten him up with a few of your own ‘grateful’feathers.  Using as many feathers as you like, just jot down what you are thankful for and leave in the pouch.  We will get them up on the wall.   Let’s get busy and fatten up that turkey.

The Neighborhood Pantry at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City, Kansas, needs our help. The Day School has always been very responsive to this food drive to help fill the shelves during times of great need. ·     Canned Meat (chicken, Spam, Vienna Sausages, Beef stew)

·     Canned Soup (Chicken Noodle, Cream of Mushroom, Beef)

·     Canned Pinto Beans or Chili Beans

·     Peanut Butter

·     Boxed Macaroni & Cheese

·     Boxed Cereal

·     Canned Tomato Sauce

·     Skillet Dinners (hamburger, tuna or chicken)

·     Ground Coffee

·     Sugar and Cooking oil

Regular size cans and boxes of food are preferred.  THANK YOU!

School will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25.

MR. STINKY FEET, aka Jim Cosgrove will be here on Monday, November 14 at 10:00 am to entertain us with his wonderful gift of music and fun.  If you are in Mrs. Bast’s and Mrs. Spradling’s Tuesday/Thursday class, please join us for Mr. Stinky Feet in the Baker Youth Room, to the right at the bottom of the stairs and just past where Miss Deb cooks our delicious lunches.  Parents and siblings welcome.

Looking ahead, the Day School Christmas Program is Wednesday, December 21 at 10:30, with the dress rehearsal on Monday, December 19 at 10:30.  The Day School will close for the Christmas Holidays immediately following the Christmas Program and will reopen after the New Year on Tuesday, January 3.

We are so grateful to all of our families here at the Day School, and for sharing your precious gifts with us.  Thanks again for all you do for us.
